Following Tampon Run, my co-creator and I wrote Girl Code: Gaming, Going Viral and Getting It Done for HaperCollins to encourage readers to speak out about topics they care about and learn to code. 

The book details our experience building the game, interweaving our challenges and learnings through it. When it came out in 2017, we went on a book tour across the US, gave talks and held coding workshops at schools, bookstores and book fairs.

The book received extensive positive reviews and appeared on many “Best Book” lists including the Junior Library Guild, New York Public Library, Texas Librarian Association, National Science Teachers Association, Children’s Book Council. It’s been translated into Japanese and Polish and made into an audio book, which we voiced.
